Carbs aren't the enemy but making sure that the amount and quality of carbohydrates you're eating are correct is essential. For weight loss and health of course but these two components play a big role when it comes to energy and satiety (how full you feel) as well. Rather than starting your day with a mega dose of processed, energy-stealing carbs, I recommend starting the day with a large portion of protein and fat. It may take time for you to adapt to this kind of eating, but in a short period of time you will find that you have no afternoon crash and are feeling fuller much longer after you have your first meal. This is metabolic stability and boy does it feel good!
